Leyla is an Azerbaijani fashion and accessories designer, graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Milan.

BIOGRAPHY

Since her childhood, Leyla had a strong passion for art and fashion, as well as a particular flair for sewing dresses. More recently her experience in Istituto Marangoni have helped her to develop her skills.

Her purpose is to pursue a creative path characterized by innovation and experimentation, showing her art ability through the collections.

The inspiration of the project was based upon a series of “Spaghetti Western” films and Clint Eastwood's style.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The sustainable collection is composed by various accessories, characterized by Tod’s symbols and logos, highlighting the brand’s Italian DNA.

SUSTAINABILITY

Mushroom leather and piñatex, a fiber extracted from pineapple leaves, are the materials used to create a more responsible project.

"One of the most important icons of Tod’s that I have re-interpreted is the Gommino."

Leyla's creative idea is in mixing Italian and Western cultures together, honoring and reinterpreting Tod’s traditions and heritage.

The colors of the collection fluctuate amidst sandy tones with a touch of green, blue and red.
