Accessories & Shoe Design Intensive. Istituto Marangoni Florence 2020-2021.
Anahita is an Iranian accessories designer, graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Florence.
BIOGRAPHY
After a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design in Tehran Art University, Anahita launched her own shoe brand and worked as a designer with one of the major local luxury leather companies.
She consolidated her experience with Master courses and her passion in modern art and industrial design is reflected in this initiative.
The project was inspired by the world of wines and Prosecco as the main material used is cork.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The approach of this collection of shoes and bags is to embrace nature, take care of the environment with the aim to move towards a more sustainable fashion world.
SUSTAINABILITY
The used materials are cork, obtained from the bark of the Cork Oak tree, natural rubber made from the milk of the Hevea tree, and transparent plastic.

"I wanted to find a material which is completely new yet also renewable and is in line with Tod's DNA."
The project is a combination of Italian traditions with a more mindful approach to consumption.
The idea is to elevate cork into a sophisticated yet luxurious material, giving it new meaning in the fashion industry.
