Pragya is an Indian Fashion Designer, graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Florence.
BIOGRAPHY
Pragya is specialized in embroidery, fabrics, and digital print creation. Influenced by her grandmother's elegance, for her, design and fashion have been a big passion from a very young age.
Her aim is to work through a combination of Indian aesthetics and a European sensitivity both seen through a global lens.
The creative inspiration for the project originated from one of Tod's main codes: craftsmanship.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The sustainable collection is developed focusing on craftsmanship techniques, modern silhouettes and tie up details.
INTERVIEW
"The main codes of Tod’s that I chose to reinterpret were craftsmanship and artisanal lifestyle."
Details are the star of the project, crafted and designed to create a story that can be worn.
From craftsmanship, the designer creates two mental images: the Kantha embroidery from India and the Arte Povera movement from Italy.
