Francesca is a Peruvian Fashion Designer, graduated at Istituto Marangoni in Florence.
BIOGRAPHY
Understanding how different people experience the same situation in completely individual ways, is the starting point of the Francesca’s creative process. She endeavours to supply meaning behind and beyond trendy styles.
Her roots created space for an acute awareness towards fabrics and weaving techniques, merging artisanal traditions and authentic creativity.
“ALTER" means to modify or change, just as human beings are in a constant process of adaptation to improve.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
To understand changes in ourselves and in our minds was the starting point of the designer to develop the sustainable collection.
SUSTAINABILITY
The collection is made of dead stock and sustainable materials: recycled nylon, organic cotton, milk casein fiber and recycled PVC.
INTERVIEW
"The values from Tod's that inspired me are Italian heritage and craftsmanship."
Immersed in a superficial investigation about the world of medicine, "ALTER" proposes details inspired by the surgical sutures.
The collection is an exploration of the internal transition and is composed by pieces with stitched details and manipulations made with dead stock of leather.
