HORSIN' AROUND
Salvatore
Caropreso
Fashion Design & Accessories. Istituto Marangoni Milan 2020-2021.
Salvatore is an Italian fashion and accessories designer, graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Milan.
BIOGRAPHY
Since his childhood, Salvatore was passionate about art and design, and he lived in different places that contaminated his aesthetic sense. His creative approach is clean, with a keen eye to details and linearity.
Fashion is today a tool to express himself and his contemporary vision.
The inspiration finds its roots in the world of horse riding, creating a dialogue between this world and Tod's.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Sustainable accessories and ready-to-wear pieces are characterized by many details taken from elements of saddlery, always however respecting the brand's identity.
INTERVIEW
"I wanted to reinterpret the Gommino by decontextualizing it."
Escaping from one's routine while practising outdoor activities, such as horse riding, was the starting point of the concept.
The elements are reimagined removed from their initial contexts, while remaining as harmonious and linear as possible.
