Fashion Design & Accessories. Istituto Marangoni Milan 2020-2021.
Ylenia Anna is an Italian fashion and accessories designer, graduate of the Istituto Marangoni in Milan.
BIOGRAPHY
Creativity, curiosity and perseverance are her personal characteristics, who after an initial experience in tourism, chose to become a Fashion Designer.
Throughout her childhood, she was inspired by her parents' creativity and passion for their work, an aspect she then used to develop her own interests.
The inspiration for this project came from the pandemic, with a new objective: starting again.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
"JOUR ZÉRO" is composed by bags, shoes and overcoats reinterpreted following Tod’s codes with the desire to create something completely new and sustainable.
SUSTAINABILITY
The restart concept is reflected in the use of sustainable materials: discarded scraps of leather and boat lining upholstery from a number of dockyards in Sicily, her homeland.
INTERVIEW
"The inspiration for my project originates from the pandemic which has affected us all in some way. The objective is starting again."
Starting from a metaphor, the project focuses on creating something new, embarking on a new path and adapting it in different forms.
Rubber is used as an insert in some pieces, and red is one of the colors used to ignite and symbolize a new beginning.
