Student Project

MEN AND THEIR SWAMPS
Jimmy wanted to take the Tod’s man out of the brand’s usual comfort zone and commit him to the beauty and celebration of swamps and their relaxing auras. He has taken the Gommino shoe and transformed them to appropriate situations for all weather wear and explored how he could use materials such as mushroom leather, hemp denim and recycled nylon which lend themselves to the swamp environment.

Mentorship

MENTOR: ALEXANDER FURY
Menswear critic at the Financial Times and fashion features director at Another Magazine

Background

“The men who I grew up around were constricted to a set of prescribed career aspirations, and push towards masculine ideals which allowed them to be profited off, and away from roles of expression which allow them to work with their masculinity healthily.”

“My legacy isn’t about me. It’s about men”
