Andrew La Casse
Andrew grew up in Vancouver, BC Canada. Coming from a desire to create, he started his creative journey in film before fashion.
He studied at the London College of Fashion before joining the MA program at Central Saint Martins. Growing up, fashion was very foreign to Andrew, and he wasn’t interested in it at all until his first real introduction - Savile Row. Learning about suiting and the level of craftsmanship that goes into every single piece really hooked his passion with fashion and its ambiguous purpose. He now believes it is art, it is utilitarian, and he loves the idea of finding himself as a designer on that spectrum.
Student Project
TRANSFORMATION
A collection creating dynamic, multiple purposes depending on the wearer's demands. “I really loved thinking about building a collection around the needs of a modern woman. Our lives have become so busy and I wanted to create designs that had a positive impact on the wearer and was not just a pretty bag or shoe. It was fun to design within the crossroads of aesthetics and functionality.”

“I am always inspired by a sense of reality and the people who exist within it. I love approaching design as thinking of a problem and designing the solution. I took the idea of these women in society who have incredibly hectic daily lives and pondered how a product could create a positive impact.”
